No politics or high school pressure, just a solid and successful program that is serious about its commitment to the athletes and the sport of volleyball. Over the past eleven years, Brandywine Volleyball Club has grown into one of the premier volleyball clubs in the Mid-Atlantic area. Brandywine has won Regional Championships in the 12 & under age group in 2000, 2001, 2006, 2007 and 2008 and a second place bid in 2003. For the 13 & under age group Brandywine has won the Regional Championships in 1999, 2001, 2007and 2009and a second place bid in 2008. For the 14 & under age group we have won the Regional Championships in 2009 and second place bids in 2000, 2005, and 2008. Brandywine has won the Regional Championships in 2001 and 2003 and second place in 2009 with our 15 & unders and finally, our 16 & unders won a second place bid in the Regional Championships in 2006. All in all we have sent 18 teams to compete in the Junior Olympic Championships in the past 11 years. That is more than any other club in the state! (See
Club Information for coaches of our championship teams.) Now as we begin our 12th year we look to build on that success and continue the commitment and hard work that is our trademark.Brandywine Volleyball Club is looking for athletes in the 10-18 year old age bracket for the 2009/2010 Junior Olympic club season. Brandywine Volleyball Club is open to all athletes from any school in the area. We are looking for athletes who are willing to make a strong commitment. In return for that commitment, Brandywine Volleyball Club will provide an outstanding club experience. Our commitment goes beyond the court and extends to all aspects of the game for both the players of our club as well as on other clubs and programs. We run several weeks of summer camps and clinics, training girls and boys ages 10 thru 18 and take great pride in watching them achieve success as they go on to become the top volleyball players in the state. In fact we have also provided top instruction for many of the local high school coaches who got their start right here at Brandywine. Off court, we have assisted our players in recruitment so that they are able to go on to play volleyball in Division l, ll and lll programs all across the country.
We practice in one of the states finest facilities at Wilmington Friends School (just off I-95 &
Concord Pike). Our coaches are committed to developing strong teams and while developing
strong individual players. We offer playing opportunities at all skill levels whenever
possible. Some of our teams will compete at major tournaments outside of the regional
schedule including Nationals Qualifiers.
